Fuel Pumps
OCC fuel pumps are engineered for 4,000+ hours of operation in brushed configurations and 10,000 hours in our advanced brushless models. The hermetically sealed motor housing with permanently lubricated bearings and carbon bearings that tolerate short dry-operation periods make these pumps uniquely suited for field conditions where maintenance access is limited.
Applications
- Battle tanks and tactical military vehicles
- Commercial and military trucks
- Farm equipment and off-road machinery
- Construction equipment
- Generator and auxiliary power units
- Marine propulsion systems
- Industrial fuel transfer systems
Built to MIL-DTL-62011
Olympic Controls manufactures submersible electric fuel pumps designed and tested to military specification MIL-DTL-62011. Every pump undergoes 37 different vibration, shock, and operational tests before leaving our facility. With stainless steel motor housings, glass-sealed electrical fittings, and corrosion-resistant zinc pump bodies, these pumps are built to outlast mechanical alternatives by two to three times.
Our unique double-inlet design enables rapid priming in five seconds or less, and a magnetic coupling drives the motor pump shaft using high-quality ceramic magnets — eliminating mechanical seal wear and extending service life.
Mounting Options
Every installation is different. OCC fuel pumps are available in two mounting configurations to fit your platform:
- Pump-in-a-can: Creates an in-line fuel pump for applications where tank access is limited
- Bracket mount: 12–40″ brackets available in standard steel or ballistic steel for armored vehicles
Construction
- Stainless steel motor housing
- Glass-sealed electrical fittings
- Zinc pump body with plated hardware
- Magnetic coupling with ceramic magnets
- Permanently lubricated motor bearings
- Corrosion-resistant throughout
- Three operational QC tests before delivery
Advanced Brushless Fuel Pump Option
OCC has developed a brushless fuel pump that dramatically outperforms conventional brushed designs. By eliminating brush wear entirely, our brushless models achieve 10,000 hours of expected continuous duty life — more than double the 4,000-hour rating of standard brushed pumps. That translates to over 200,000 miles of reliable operation with virtually no maintenance.
The brushless motor is hermetically sealed with permanently lubricated bearings, protecting internal components from contamination and eliminating the need for field servicing. Available in 12, 24, and 28 Volt DC configurations, the brushless option operates across the full military temperature range of -54°C to 85°C (-65°F to 185°F). For fleet operators and military programs that demand maximum uptime and lowest total cost of ownership, the brushless version is a direct drop-in upgrade to any existing OCC pump installation.
